Iced Herb Tea

We watched golfers pass through the back yard while sipping this tea at our last lesser yang potluck. This is the ultimate refreshing drink. Even one hundred degree weather will not cause you to lose your cool. Thanks to Alison Willets for hosting the potluck and for providing the drink.

I prefer using Traditional Medicinal teas for this, they’re organic, fair trade, medicinal grade and yummy. But you can use bulk teas if you wish. I have substituted spearmint for peppermint, which is also great.

Makes 3 cups:

2 peppermint tea bags

1 nettle tea bag

3 cups boiling water

1 Tbs. concentrated white grape juice (optional)

Pour boiling water over the tea bags and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove the bags, add the grape juice and put in the refrigerator to cool. Mash some fresh mint leaves in the bottom of each glass, add ice and pour tea over the top.
